Rock Tools cutting California

Rock Tools, Offset Extension. Construction applications take many forms and when a major US contractor had an extremely long wall to cut into some of California’s hardest rock they chose a Rock Tools RTS50 tungsten carbide rock saw fitted with an offset extension. The offset enables the saw to be placed outside the edge of the excavator tracks. When material is removed a further cut can be made enabling a continuous precision vertical cut. The contractor fitted a GPS system onto their CAT345 excavator which enabled the rock saw to cut within tolerances of less than a half inch. Given the length and height of the wall this precision cut simply saved many hundreds of thousands in costs that would have otherwise been spent in shotcrete. The Rock Tools RTS50 rock saw fitted with an offset extension more than paid for itself many times over on just this project. Rock Tools rock saws contact us in the US or National Attachments, Brazil AGF Equipamentos, Canada Creighton Rock Drill and Turkey Vektra.
