The Excavator Rock Saw has been around since the mid 1980’s first developed provide clean and almost vibration free cuts in hard rock where hydraulic hammer’s or line drilling had been the traditional choice. The excavator rock saw was extended to run parallel to the excavator tracks usually about 1’ or so on the left hand side of the excavator. This enabled better vision for the operator to see where he was cutting. First came the tungsten carbide excavator saw and then the diamond excavator saw. Tungsten carbide excavator saws were and remain the contractors choice given that depending on blade size the teeth could easily be changed in a half hour with one man a fork and 3lb hammer. Rock Tools manufacturers the excavator rock saw with models suiting from mini excavators to mining excavators. The Rock Tools Rock Saw can be found cutting concrete in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Limestone in Pismo Beach, California.
